California Automobile Museum

Formerly known as the Towe Auto Museum, the Museum, operated by the non-profit California Vehicle Foundation, opened its doors in 1982 near Old Sacramento based on the Towe family's extensive collection.
The collection of cars now ranges from some of the first cars manufactured at the turn of the 20th century to prototypes of fuel cell hybrids and other environmentally advanced cars expected in the marketplace years from now.
