Museums in Czechia

The museum in Nová Bystřice is the first and largest museum of American cars in the Czech Republic. Few spaces lend themselves to a walk through history like an old, abandoned textile factory where you can see exhibits of 50 cars in 9 themed halls sort by years and categories. 

The museum will show you how coachbuilders proceeded when producing a car’s bodywork and acquaint you with the history of the legendary Sodomka Factory.

The exhibition of Eastern Bloc vehicles was originally opened in 2011 and moved to its present location in May, 2020. It features cars, motorcycles, trucks etc.

An old mill which today houses a private collection of motorcycles

In 2010, the town of Olešnice opened a permanent exhibition featuring historic vehicles and paintings from the collection of the Hamerský family. The paintings - mostly landscape works from Olešnice - are the works of Karel Hamerský's, a former Olešnice School of Economics teacher. His son Petr then dedicated his art to historic vehicles made in Czechoslovakia. He not only collects cars and motorcycles but also restores them in his original form in his workshop,
