Museums in France

Citromuseum

The 1000m2 building is purpose-built, and holds in all around 50 cars. The museum contains post-war Citroens, exclusively in exceptional, "show room" condition, with very low mileage. The museum is the result of 25 years of passion and dedication to the search for these cars all over France. The whole range is represented from the 2CV to the SM, in an almost "new from the factory" condition. Furthermore, some are exceptionally rare, such as the famous DS no. 32, sold in 1955, and the oldest example of this model known to be in existence today.

Fire Museum Val-d'Oise

Housed in the former stables of the Château de Grouchy, in an exhibition space of 1,200 m², this living and educational museum aims to be a real educational tool.

In a vast 1,200 m² hall, firefighting equipment from the 18th century to the present day is presented. A room traces the history of the outfits,
helmets and headdresses from 1830 to 1960. Finally, a room, more particularly intended for children, allows you to discover an impressive collection of toys, the oldest of which date from the 19th century.

Firefighters Museum Gex

The Departmental Museum of Firefighters opened in June 1999. It is managed by the Remise 01, an association whose aim is to safeguard a heritage and make known the great and beautiful history of firefighters through the ages.

The establishment brings together 200 years of history through the exhibition of various materials and equipment,
presented within an initiatory journey of technical, scientific and human evolution.

French Racing Car Museum, Magny-Cours

In May, 2015 a new museum was opened as part of the famous Magny Cours track in France. 48 cars are exhibited, including Alain Prost's Renault RE30B Formula 1 racer from 1982, Renée Arnoux's Martini MK23 from 1978, a 1948 Gordini T48 which was driven by Jean-Pierre Wimille, Juan-Manuel Fangio and Maurice Trintignant - and the list goes on.

Grand Atelier, Museum of Art and Industry

Formerly known as the Musee Auto Moto Velo, this collection is housed in a former armaments factory. The collection illustrate the history of cars, bicylces, motorcycles and scooters in everday life. Cars are ranging from rarities, like a 1893 Panhard&Levassor, a 1929 Voisin C14, a 1953 Longchamp prototype from Coucy, but it also includes a Ford Model T and a Citroen 2CV. There are also French-made scooters and motorcycles.
